yes, nadal lost to gonzo. quite a bummer. but the 2 semi finals were so pathetically one sided, it was funny. although i feel a teeny bit sorry for roddick. (Damn everything! SorryGod!)

federer won his 10th major. i don't think he remembers what it feels like to lose. or maybe his 5 losses last year (4 were to nadal, HA!) hurt even more. cos he could have had a 97-0 win-loss record. shrugs.

sartorially speaking, (that word always reminds me of lionel seah), mirka was wearing the coloured version of the LV monogram shirt-thingy. i know a lot of people beg to differ, but i find that print on a shirt a tad distasteful. on bags it looks good, but to wear it on your body directly? serena williams was in the men's singles final. her acid green dress was replaced by a sombre grey sweatshirt-thingy. talk about wanting to blend in the crowd.

rafa successfully defeated murray yday!!!! now to tackle red hot chile pepper gonzalez. it's a bit sad, for him to play gonzalez, cos i support gonzalez as well. i wish they could have met in the semis instead. but oh well. if i have to choose between the two, no prize for guessing who.

rafarafarafa is through to the 4th round at the aussie open, where it looks like he'll be joined by briton andy murray, unless chela can pull some magic out of his hat. but, i'm not sure he's wearing a hat cos they aren't showing the match! they're showing lleyton hewitt vs fernando gonzalez, and looks like our chilean is going to win. the interesting fact is, chela beat hewitt in last year's aussie open. but the tennis world is almost as fickle as the fashion world. "either you're in or you're out".

so. you know those people whom you thought were sane all your life, and then there comes a moment in their lives where they're hoping for all the luck they need, and suddenly you find them walking around black cats (so that the kitties don't cross their paths) and ladders (at least this one makes sense, you don't want that ladder falling on your head). in the same vein, yours truly is starting to get a lil superstitious that if she blogs about monday's potential match, her dearest rafa might, well, you know. i'm not gonna type it! see what i mean about superstition?

speaking of superstition, james blake said that he's superstitious about his beard! when he wins a match, he doesnt shave his beard.. till he loses! and the interviewer goes, "well in that case you're gonna look like santa claus soon!" HAHA!!!

ok, i am back from hiding.

my gosh. someone should really complain to our bus services. today i had near traumatising experiences. first, it was raining. and the place where i was sitting, was leaking rainwater from the sides of the windows and condensation from the aircon was falling on my head.

and if rainwater falling on me is not bad enough, (and it's really bad cos I HATE THE RAIN), on the way back A FREAKING SPIDER fell on me. a SPIDER, YO! what if it was like, a black widow or something? would i be alive to type this, to warn all unsuspecting bus commuters against the fauna that thrives in our buses? NO! and then you might just have something horrible happening. but, i survived.

and i think now that the sole purpose of my existence (and survival) is to help make our buses a safer place to travel, so that some profits from SMRT will also go to SBS.
