oh. my. goodness.
i was at wikipedia at on a whim, decided to click 'singapore'. and the article talks about sg's history, stamford raffles, politics, botanic gardens, newater... and abt education too. and.. this is the image that is being projected to the virtual world about our ecucation:
However, there have been criticisms of the education system by parents who complain about rigidity and an encouragement of rote by the prominent use of large examinations to judge ability, as well as complaints about excessive educational streaming in entry to schools. A major element of the examination-based education system is the common usage of ten year series by students in order to practice for examinations.
okay.
i just finished 3/4 of my stash of THE THING. guess wat it is. clue:
ingredients: wheat flour, malted barley, malt extract, sugar, dried skimmed milk, calcuim carbonate, dried whey, vegetable fat, milk proteins, gluten, salt, silicon dioxide, potassium bicarbonate, vitamins (C, Niacin, A, pantothenic acid, B6, B2, B1, A, folic acid, D, biotin, B12), ferric pyrophosphate and Zinc oxide.
so now i've given a clue, the whole list of ingredients (i'm going seriously barmy) (btw, is that even a word?!) those interested can try to guess what is my current stuffing-my-mouth-with food of the moment.
and no, it's not chocolate.
survivor: quite sad that bruce had to go off the game with bladder and colon and (well basically almost his whole gut) blockage. dear dear. not being able to poop for 12 days.. hmm. but jeff said he's gonna be ok so.. yea. so well everyone else was guaranteed 3 more days o the island and terry didnt have to use his hidden immunity idol. hmm.
Henry Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body, commonly known as Gray's Anatomy, is an anatomy textbook widely regarded as a classic work on human anatomy. The book was first published under the title Gray's Anatomy: Descriptive and Surgical in Great Britain in 1858, and the following year in the United States.
Henry Gray wrote the original version of Gray's Anatomy with an audience of medical students and physicians in mind, especially surgeons.
so one can conclude that the book was the kind of inspiration (?) for the tv series, seeing that the drama revolves around 5 surgical interns and their bosses. this is what wiki says:
Grey's Anatomy is an award-winning and popular American primetime television medical drama. The pilot episode aired March 27, 2005. The show stars Ellen Pompeo as Dr. Meredith Grey, a surgical intern at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital in Seattle, Washington. The plot concerns her and her fellow interns, their love lives, and the struggles to handle their workloads. The title is a pun on Gray's Anatomy, a famous anatomy textbook.
HAHA. omg izzie says this to alex one fine day: "On your very best day, that corpse is twice the man you will ever be. You're not good enough for me, Alex. You're not good enough for anyone.
Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd: Head of neurosurgery at SGH. He slept with Meredith Grey before their first day of work at SGH. He later found out she was an intern and continued to pursue a relationship. He abruptly ended the relationship with Meredith when his estranged wife, Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery Shepherd. As of now, he remains married to Addison, and is trying to work things out.
Dr. Mark "McSteamy" Sloan: A plastic surgeon. Formerly Derek's best friend. While the Shepherds were still living in New York, Mark and Addison were caught in bed by Derek, prompting him to seek a new life in Seattle. In the episode entitled 'Yesterday', he attempts to bring Addison back to New York, saying he is still in love with her but she refuses and stays in Seattle. It is also revealed that after Derek left for Seattle, Addison continued her relationship with Mark for a period of time before heading to Seattle to try and mend her relationship with her estranged husband, Derek. Also in the episode 'Yesterday', Mark was flirting with Meredith. In the middle of the flirting, Derek came over and punched Mark. Later in the episode, Mark points out to Meredith that when Derek caught Addison and him in bed, he just walked away but, when Derek saw him even talking to Meredith, Derek punched him.

there's actually a website called www.flu.gov.sg.
i can't wait for 1pm!!!!!!! i want terry to win immunity so badly, those stupid ex-cassia (or is it la mina?) are so pissing. shane's off his rocker, aras is an arse (albeit a smokin' one) and courtney should go back to fire dancing (which she does quite well, i might add).
i want terry to win coz i dont want him to have to use his exile island-found immunity idol (which looks quite gross.) he has the potential to win all 7 immunities in a row so it'd be an interesting thing to talk abt during the reunion show.
haha.
la mina.. la minah..
yday at a chocolate shoppe, this young couple came to the counter and the girl squeals, "i want the biggest cookie there!".
it's times like these when i want to roll my eyes twice.
